    MacComms Leeds the way to networking

    Leeds boasts a thriving and diverse business community with a host of informal and formal networking events. These are a fantastic way of meeting new faces and improving your business prospects.

     

    Unsure of where to go? As regular participants of networking events in Leeds, we have listed some great ones coming up that you can get involved with.

     

    LightStart: Digital Show’n’Tell

    We’ve been proud to be sponsors of LightStart’s 2018 events and love attending for informal but informative networking. Do you love all things digital? Then come along to the fourth instalment of LightStart’s digital show’n’tell to find out about the latest gadgets and gizmos that our region has to offer. Event partners Tesla will be bringing a couple of their world class cars for you to have a look at, and there will be some inspiring talks from leading digital product innovators. This is no regular networking event and one we would highly recommend going to! We’ll see you there on September 18th from 6-8pm.

     

    Connect Yorkshire: Ladies Lunch

    For all the successful female businesswomen out there, this is a great way to meet like-minded women in an informal networking setting. Running on a quarterly basis, the next ladies lunch will take place on 10th of October from 12-3pm at one of Connect Yorkshire’s longstanding venues, the Crescent.

     

    LightStart: Mobile Monthly

    Hosting over 50 free events a year, LightStart, a fast-growing digital design house, has gained a reputation for throwing an array of innovative digital-themed events. The next one on Wednesday 4th October, Mobile Monthly is a must for those in the developer and tech community; a great opportunity to meet like-minded people, listen to inspiring speakers and of course, enjoy high-quality craft beer and pizza. The event is 6-8pm at Platform and continues to run on the first Monday of each month. Become a regular if you want to make some friends in the Leeds tech scene!

     

    LightStart: Leeds Digital Coffee Morning

    Taking place on the first Friday of each month at LightStart’s offices, Platform, the next Leeds Digital Coffee Morning will be on 5th October from 8.30am to 10am. Providing a selection of delicious pastries and high-quality 200◦ coffee, this event is a great way to start your day. Lead by co-founder Simon Edwards, the audience crowd source ideas on building an app and in turn, Simon launches a discussion as to whether this idea is viable and how it would work in practice. So why not put your thinking caps and come along with an innovative new app idea?

     

    Go Digital Live Conference

    Following the success of the last Go Digital Live Conference, this exciting conference will focus on the hot topic of customer experience in the digital world. The event is open to all eligible businesses and will take place on Monday 8th October from 10am to 5pm at Aspire. Sign up now if you are a lover of all things digital!

     

    Connect Yorkshire: West & North Yorkshire Partner seminar with The Works Recruitment

    Sharing ideas with colleagues is always useful yet working out if any of them will work in practice is another; this workshop will allow you to explore these ideas, offering solutions and improvements from colleagues and team members. From 12pm- 2pm, this seminar will be held on Tuesday 9th October at Platform, Room B.

     

    The Yorkshire Mafia: Leeds Business Week

    As one of the biggest events in the Leeds business calendar, Leeds Business Week will be held from 8th to 11th of October. Offering a variety of seminars from different businesses people, Leeds Business Week is an opportunity to learn from as well as network with some of the most well-known business people in Yorkshire.

     

    LightStart: netWINEing

    Do you love wine and networking? Then netWINEing is for you! Following some other very successful netWINEing events, this is a great opportunity to engage in interesting conversation and enjoy stunning city views at the exceptional venue, Platform. Taking place from 6-8pm, you’ll need to book your spot for this popular event which takes place on October 18th.

     

    Connect Yorkshire West & North Yorkshire Partner seminar with Henderson Insurance

    Leeds Rhino Rugby legend, Kevin Sinfield, will be delivering an inspiring speech on leadership and motivation which could be just what you need on a Tuesday morning! Taking place on the morning of 23rd October from 8am to 10am, this event at the Crescent will also be a great opportunity to network.

     

    Calls 9: Autumn Networking

    Taking place on 15th November 2018 at the fantastic Sedulo offices in St. Paul’s house, Calls 9 host fantastic informal networking events with free drinks and nibbles. Although the exact timings are TBC, sign up now as these events fill up quickly!

     

    Connect Yorkshire Summit 2018: How to grow your business 

    With inspiring speakers and panel members talking about their business journeys, this will be an insightful and motivational day as well as an opportunity to meet other Yorkshire business owners. Starting at 9am, this will be a full day affair taking place at 13-15 Hunslet Road on 15th November.

     

    Although the overriding aim of networking events is to meet other like-minded business people, they are also often inspiring and informative providing you with useful tips and encouragement to think differently.
