Successful shortlisting for Nesters MacComms and Zest Mixology

    By Ellie MacDonald | Latest news | Comments are Closed | 19 July, 2016 | 0

Our founder, Ellie MacDonald and MacComms client, Murdo MacLeod, have successfully extended their nesting time at Entrepreneurial Spark Leeds.

In addition to the ‘Nesting’ achievement, both Ellie and Murdo have been shortlisted for the Entrepreneurial #GoDo awards, celebrating business owners who have achieved growth through determination and most importantly hard work!

MacComms was formed in spring 2015 and has experienced substantial growth since establishment fifteen months ago. Services include PR, marketing, social media and event management and, having quickly grown a strong client base, MacComms is the brand behind some of Yorkshire’s businesses increasingly getting noticed.

Zest Mixology is celebrating its fifth year in business and has seen substantial growth since forming in 2011. Founder Murdo has worked with determination and dedication to successfully establish a mobile bar business. Zest Mixology creates unique cocktail experiences with mobile bar and furniture hire and a range of specialist cocktail mixologists.

Ellie and Murdo have been chicklets at the Entrepreneurial Spark Leeds since February 2016 where free office space and meeting rooms are available for entrepreneurs who have high ambition. This fantastic facility is funded in partnership with NatWest bank and KPMG and focuses on supporting new businesses and entrepreneurs.

Both entrepreneurs successfully pitched their businesses to gain a further six months within the acceleration program.

MacComms has flourished with the appointment of new staff and we have successfully launched our wedding PR offer to help promote wedding suppliers.

The shortlisting for the awards comes through nominations from business advisors known as ‘enablers’ within the Entrepreneurial Spark hub in Leeds. The award features six Nesters shortlisted for three #GoDo awards with a prize of £3,000 to the successful winners who will be announced at an awards ceremony in the evening of Wednesday 20th July.

Keep your fingers crossed for Ellie and Murdo and follow the action on Twitter with #GoDoEntAwards.
