Yorkshire gaming company set to celebrate six years of business success

    By Ellie MacDonald | Client news | Comments are Closed | 23 August, 2019 | 0

A Yorkshire-based gaming company is gearing up to celebrate six years of trading via a unique event.

Leeds-based Gamezstation was born out of co-founder Scott Deighton’s hobby of gaming and entrepreneurial mindset, often wondering how he could make it easier for parents when it came to organising a birthday party. Having launched an offer to roll out the unique party experience for mobile celebrations on a voucher site, the firm achieved record success with KGB Deals, making Gamezstation the most successful offer over a two-week period.

Over the past six years, the firm has experienced rapid growth of 80% having partnered with companies including Leeds United football club and local authorities. The business now employs a team of five and has invested in two custom-built gaming vans.

Having become synonymous with unique party experiences, Gamezstation is set to hold its own celebratory event to mark six years in business with a party at Northern Monk, Leeds on Saturday 14th September.

Held between 2-8pm, guests are invited to join the team to experience a selection of games in the vans, as well as live music, food and drinks, along with a few words from co-founders Scott and Kirsty Deighton.

The event will also raise vital funds for local gaming charity, TheRockinR. Set up by the father of late games-lover, 10-year-old Reece who sadly passed away from a brain tumour last year, TheRockinR’s goal is to provide mobile gaming units to children and young people who are immobile, have limited access to activities or are in hospital and hospices for lengthy periods of time.

Co-founder and managing director of Gamezstation, Scott Deighton commented:
“The last six years have been incredible. We have launched a successful business from what started out as a hobby with demand coming from parents who enjoy the hassle-free way of providing parties for their children in our vans outside their home. Schools have also embraced our vans, hiring us to deliver end of term rewards for their pupils.

“We are looking forward to celebrating six years of business with our supporters who have helped us along our journey, as well as supporting this small, local charity which touched our hearts.”

Gamezstation has ambitious plans to drive business growth even further and are looking at securing a local Leeds-based premises for people to enjoy parties at for when the mobile vans are not an option.
