Delighted to demonstrate our award-winning success

    By Ellie MacDonald | Latest news | Comments are Closed | 22 February, 2017 | 0

We are proud to announce that we are the PR agency behind the successful award winning entries for leading Yorkshire entrepreneurs.

MacComms boasts all three regional finalists in a prestigious national business award which recognises up and coming entrepreneurs.

We put our clients, Love Bomb Cushions, The Car Buying Group, and Yorkshire Payments, forward for the BQ Emerging Entrepreneur awards, all of which have been announced as the finalists in the Yorkshire heat.

Leeds-based Love Bomb Cushions, formed by husband and wife team, Sarah and Carl Agar-Brennan, have been recognised for growing an impressive novelty cushion business over the past year, attracting the first UK licence from emoji.

The Car Buying Group, run by leading businessman, Tom Marley, is the fastest growing online car buying and selling business in the UK. Headquartered in Wakefield and Bradford, the firm has been successful in acquiring a multi-million-pound investment and now forecasts a turnover of £65m in its third year.

Whilst Brighouse-based Yorkshire Payments, run by young entrepreneur, James Howard, has experienced phenomenal growth by competing with the banks to provide independent card payment solutions to Yorkshire businesses.

Our founder, Ellie MacDonald, will attend the award ceremony along with the finalists tonight in Newcastle where the three will compete for the regional title, and go up against four other UK regions to be crowned national Emerging Entrepreneur.

Founder and managing director of The Car Buying Group, Tom Marley, comments:

“We have worked with MacComms for more than a year now and we are impressed with the opportunities the team find us to help raise our profile and credibility. We have won and have been shortlisted for a number of awards which is great. We wouldn’t have the time, resource or know-how to achieve these awards alone.”

    Ellie added:

“I am incredibly honoured to work with such impressive entrepreneurs who are leading the next generation of big businesses. To have our clients recognised and representing the Yorkshire region in a national award is a proud moment for me and my team!”
