    Arrow award win

Last week we attended the Eaton Smith LLP business of the year awards, supporting our clients PMG and Arrow Self Drive, both successful, hard working Yorkshire-based businesses in the running to win.

Hosted in Huddersfield, the breakfast time awards proved a great moment to celebrate fellow business success from across Yorkshire.

We’re so proud to announce that our client Arrow Self Drive won, being named business of the year by Eaton Smith LLP. PMG was also a serious contender we were told, and the top spots were a difficult decision to make!

Entering business awards is a great way to raise awareness about your brand and also a chance to be named an award-winning business. We’ve got a blog post coming up more about this and how we can hep your business to win, for now you can have a read of one our most popular articles about great awards you should be entering.

Yorkshire’s largest independent vehicle-hire firm is celebrating scooping the title of business of the year at a prestigious awards ceremony.

Nearly 200 business people from Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield gathered together for Eaton Smith’s Business of the Year Awards on Friday 6th July which saw Arrow Self Drive take home first prize.

Now in its 23rd year, the competition is run annually in conjunction with the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce and the Department for International Trade.

The awards recognise the hard work, brilliance and innovation of the best businesses in Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield.

Established in 1988, family-run business, Arrow Self Drive delivers safe, sustainable and affordable road transport to hundreds of customers across the region. Celebrating 30 years in business, today the company boasts a fleet of almost 2,000 rental vehicles.

The awards, which were presented by local businessman Ken Davy, saw the twelve recent ‘Business of the Month’ award winners in attendance to await the verdict of the yearly prize.

Arrow Self Drive thrived against tough competition, with Hunter Safety Solutions named in second place and third place went to Propack Direct Mail Ltd.

The event was hosted by Eaton Smith’s Senior Partner, Mike Webb, who said of the monthly winners:

“What all the monthly winners have in common is diligence, flair and a determination to carve out a profitable niche in unexplored areas of their individual market places and, for that, they are all to be congratulated.”

James Hill, managing director of Arrow Self Drive commented:

“To be named the business of the year is a great achievement and we couldn’t be happier. I’m so proud of our whole team for the hard work they have put in over the past 30 years to make the company the success that it is today.

“The competition was tough with some truly fantastic businesses in the running. We’re delighted to have been named as the winners at the ceremony held in our founding home town of Huddersfield which remains our HQ.”

The Eaton Smith Business of the Year Awards runs every year and is the culmination of the Business of the Month Awards. Applications are welcomed for all types and sizes of business.
