Ellie to return to university to inspire female ambition

    By Ellie MacDonald | Latest news | Comments are Closed | 28 November, 2016 | 0

Our founder and managing director, Ellie MacDonald, is set to enlighten young female students at a unique event at The University of Huddersfield.

Ellie, who launched MacComms 18 months ago, has been invited as a key note speaker to present at the event, offering young women an insight into business.

A graduate of the university herself, Ellie will provide attendees the opportunity to learn about the benefits of selecting a business placement in a bid to encourage female students to be as ambitious as their male counterparts when selecting placements and careers.

The Business Placement Unit at The University of Huddersfield organised the event following research shown that female students are less likely to apply for top graduate and placement schemes than men. In a bid to encourage more of female students to aim high and reach their potential, the event will be held at Heritage Quay at 12 – 2pm on Monday 12 December.

Ellie will join fellow female entrepreneurs and alumni of The University of Huddersfield at the Female High Fliers event to encourage female students to apply and succeed in business placements and how to start-up successful businesses too.

    Ellie MacDonald comments:

“I’m delighted to have been asked to be a speaker at the Female High Fliers event at The University of Huddersfield. It is a fantastic opportunity to be able to return to the university I studied at to offer advice and insight to inspire female students to be ambitious when choosing business placements and careers after graduation.”

Alongside her continued support of the university, Ellie continues to support Kirklees College, where she studied marketing, and she is now featured in their 2016 / 2017 prospectus which you can view here.

The event is free of charge to attend. To book a place visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/female-high-fliers-tickets-28884189388?aff=es2.
