MacComms’ owner to speak at business growth event

    By Ellie MacDonald | Latest news | Comments are Closed | 6 April, 2016 | 3

On Wednesday 11th May this year, our Managing Director, Ellie MacDonald will be taking a lead as one of West Yorkshire’s leading business growth experts, at a free event for business owners and senior managers looking to expand their business in 2016.

Joining fellow businessman, Simon Monaghan from Business Doctors, the duo will be speaking at the Business Growth Masterclass.

Taking place in the comfortable surroundings of the Institute of Director’s Boardroom at The Old Broadcasting House in central Leeds, the three-hour event from 9am-12pm is the perfect opportunity for business owners to come together and learn how to achieve their business aspirations.

Undoubtedly, growing businesses are often hard to manage. With the experience of Ellie and Simon behind you, you will have the support you need in order to chart the future path for your business.

    About the speakers

Ellie MacDonald – MacComms (Yorkshire) Ltd

Ellie brings more than eight years’ experience in PR and marketing and has run successful Huddersfield and Leeds-based agency, MacComms for one year.

Prior to forming her own firm, Ellie worked for one of the fastest growing marketing and PR agencies in West Yorkshire, where she worked as account manager, managing around a dozen clients at any one time to enhance the profile and promotion of a range of businesses.

Prior to this Ellie worked for the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce where she worked as Marketing Manager, responsible for delivering the Chamber’s marketing and communications strategy, taking an active role in implementing an active schedule of PR, communications and social media management.

Ellie has worked with a range of companies, from start-ups to established, global firms and is well equipped to advise business leaders how to get noticed by the right people in order to grow. Simon Monaghan – Business Doctors

Simon’s approach is to understand the owner’s objectives, conduct a strategic review of the business, and then to work with and support the business owner to implement sustainable growth plans. Simon has worked with over 50 businesses of all shapes and sizes, helping each of them to produce a detailed plan to achieve the outcomes that are important to them, whether it be growth, succession, or exit etc. Effective communication is key to this approach, and Simon talks the same language as business owners, focusing on practical steps rather than theory dressed up in jargon.

Simon is deeply embedded in the local SME community – being a partner supplier to Leeds LEP, Chair of the Leeds Branch of The Federation of Small Businesses and a major supporter of the business networks across the region.
