Signs of good things to come

By Ellie MacDonald | Company news, Positive news | Comments are Closed | 10 March, 2021 | 0

We’re delighted to announce that after a strange but successful year working with Widd Signs, the leading signage experts have confirmed our ongoing PR support!

From beginning by announcing the company’s successful acquisition news, our Widd Signs PR and social team, founder and MD Ellie MacDonald and senior PR pro Matt Thompson have worked with the group to announce many more positive news stories across social media and to targeted business and trade media, securing 154 pieces of press coverage reaching almost 1 million people which has increased brand awareness, credibility and helped boost sales too!

Managing director of Widd Signs, Gary Williams, comments:

“We have had a brilliant year working with Ellie and Matt of MacComms who regularly speak to all our key members of the team to understand the best news to put out into the wider world. We’ve also had training for the sales team to understand how to use the press coverage as a new business development tool and create social media ambassadors within Widd Signs. The reach of the news stories has been brilliant in raising our awareness as leading signage experts and we’ve had sales off the back of announcing our successful projects too. We’re excited to continue to work in partnership with MacComms and accelerate our growth as we navigate out of lockdown.”

Founder and managing director of MacComms, Ellie MacDonald adds:

“A year ago we signed Widd Signs as a client to manage their PR, media relations and social media. The ink was barely dry when we were all plunged into lockdown but the commitment to us, and the business from Gary Williams, Rory Campbell-Pilling and the team was incredible. Instead of closing the factory doors and calling it quits, the Widd team has continued to invest in services such as PR and has developed sales teams across its Leeds and St. Helens sites.

“As such we’ve had a brilliant year together and have achieved two award shortlistings, 154 pieces of press coverage across national and regional business and industry media titles, reaching a whopping audience of almost 1 million whilst growing their social media following and engagement.

“I’m delighted that Widd Signs have just renewed their contract with us and look forward to continuing a fruitful working relationship together.”

Ellie and Matt are excited to meet with the Widd team face to face again soon and enjoy more of Rory’s famous pies they kindly feed us with during monthly catchups soon!
