Virtual Assistants join forces to support industry in Yorkshire

    By Ellie MacDonald | Positive news | Comments are Closed | 11 February, 2021 | 0

A Yorkshire-based industry group has been formed to support virtual assistants (VAs) working in the region.

The Yorkshire Virtual Assistant Collective (YVAC) was launched in January 2021 by Amy Russell, Gemma Walton and Rachel Priestley, three Yorkshire-based award-winning VAs who have been collaborating for more than two years.

Having realised there were collaborative groups for VAs nationally and in different regions, but nothing specifically for those in Yorkshire, Amy, Gemma, and Rachel came together to launch YVAC.

Following a successful launch meeting last month attended by over 20 VAs, plans have been made to grow the group by holding monthly meetings with guest speakers and networking, as well as an annual conference. Speaker topics will include PR, finance and legal issues, as well as more holistic elements such as wellbeing, mindset and confidence.

The group founders said of their new endeavour:

“The aim of YVAC is to bring together VAs in the region for networking, collaboration, development and support, bridging a gap for these services.

“Collaboration is key within our industry, and as we have gained a lot of shared knowledge from each other, we decided to extend that support to fellow VAs working across the region.

“The group has already been well-received with over 30 VAs registering interest in future events.”

The next event features our very own founder and managing director, Ellie MacDonald who will be offering PR tips for VAs and their clients on 25th February at 6.30-7.30pm.
